Catering Sales Manager/Business Development

The Business Development role supports Craft’s on 7th Avenue with their day-to-day catering activities as well as assisting in common tasks in areas such as marketing and social media.

Craft’s on 7th Avenue is a local restaurant in the heart of the UAB area known for its fried chicken, fresh, made-to-order salads, homemade sides, and much more, that will keep you coming back. It has a warm family atmosphere that is always a go-to gathering place to dine and have a home cooked meal in downtown Birmingham.

Job Functions

Catering

  • Create a relationship with existing catering customers to book business
  • Continually expand Marketing Database of customers 
  • Call prospects to bring in new business 
  • Track progress and call reporting in excel
  • Monthly revenue goal of $15,000 in catering

 Manage existing customer database and contact quarterly to ensure continued satisfaction and business

  • Facilitate Email Marketing Campaigns with Marketing Department
  • Keep track of all catering orders and update weekly to monthly goal
  • Track on weekly excel calendar and verify all information in toast.
  • Ensure all orders are paid the day of delivery
  • Write up orders, print and post on the board in the kitchen
  • Communicate orders in a timely fashion with the kitchen and keep them updated 
  • Ensure that the billing amounts are updated and paid after all orders.
  • Follow up with customers to thank them, obtain feedback, and gather dates for future events.

Job Requirements

Bachelors degree

  • 2+ years of sales experience and catering is a plus
  • Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work with a team. Communication and professionalism at all times
  • Experience with Toast (preferred, but not required)
